Wisconsin loses key defender for first half against Alabama after controversial goal decision

Wisconsin has a big home game next week as Jalen Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide will be in Madison.

On Saturday, star linebacker Jake Chaney was ejected from the Badgers' game against South Dakota because of a questionable targeting call.

Not only was he knocked out of Saturday's game, but he will now miss the first half of next week's game against the Crimson Tide.

That's important because Chaney is one of Wisconsin's best defenders. Last year, he finished second on the team with 80 tackles. He's also one of the team's most important players in making sure everyone is lining up where they need to be.

With Alabama's powerful offense coming to town next week, it will be even harder to slow down the Crimson Tide.

Kickoff next week is scheduled for 12pm ET on FOX and is expected to be one of the top games of the weekend.
