Marathon ends Para-Athletics

Para-athletics, the largest sport in the Paris 2024 programme in terms of number of athletes and events, will end on day 11 with four marathons.

Swiss wheelchair racing stars Catherine Debrunner and Marcel Hug aim to dominate in the women's and men's marathon T54 respectively, while Japan's Misato Michishita aims to defend her gold medal from Tokyo 2020 in the women's marathon T12.

After starting in Seine-Saint-Denis, the athletes pass through the Place de la Concorde, where the opening ceremony took place, before racing down the Champs-Elysees and running around the Arc de Triomphe. The finish line is in front of the Esplanades de Invalides.
