Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh announce the birth of their daughter, Alia Bhatt has the best reaction

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who became parents to a baby girl on Sunday, September 8, shared the happy news on social media. In a joint post, the couple wrote, “Welcome baby girl. 9/8/2024. Deepika & Ranveer.”

As soon as the couple shared the post, congratulations were in order. Alia Bhatt, her sister Shaheen Bhatt, Rubina Dilaik, Amruta Khanvilkar, Athiya Shetty, Malaika Arora and several others commented on Deepika and Ranveer's post.

Deepika and Ranveer had announced their pregnancy in February this year. They shared a post on Instagram with the caption “September 2024” with cute images of baby clothes, baby shoes and balloons. Throughout her pregnancy, Deepika remained professionally active and was often seen at public events.

Just a day before her admission to the hospital, Deepika along with Ranveer visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai and sought the blessings of the Almighty.

Even before Deepika's pregnancy, Ranveer had expressed his desire to have a baby girl.

In his television show The Big Picture, the actor said: “Jaisa ki aap log jante hain meri shaadi ho gayi hai aur ab 2-3 saal my bacche bhi honge. Bhaisaab, aapki bhabhi itni sweet baby thi na. Main to roz uski baby photos dekhta hoon, kehta hoon ek aisi de de mujhe bus meri life set ho jaye (As you know, I am married and may have children in the next two or three years. Her sister-in-law was such a sweet baby. I see her baby photos every day and tell her that if she gives me a baby like that, my life will be OK.)”

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's love began back in 2012. They got married on November 14 and 15, 2018, at Lake Como in Italy. During the eighth season of the popular talk show Koffee With Karan, hosted by Karan Johar, the couple finally shared their wedding video for the first time in five years. During the episode, Ranveer had also revealed that he had proposed to Deepika in the Maldives in 2015.
