Jermaine Burton will more likely have a redshirt year in his rookie year
The Cincinnati Bengals coaching staff believes rookie WR Jermaine Burton isn't quite where he needs to be as a pro to get into the receiving rotation, though they're still very impressed with the third-round pick's skills he's shown on tape and see him as a future starter. He's unlikely to contribute offensively this year, and he may be more likely to have a redshirt year unless he shows major progress over the course of the season by maturing and sticking to the playbook.

Fantasy influence

Jermaine Burton was certainly an interesting name to start this season, but is unlikely to produce much fantasy production in his rookie year. He is a name that should be on the waivers list until further notice.

CeeDee Lamb prepares for full reps during training
CeeDee Lamb's workload continues to be monitored at practice as he prepares for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Fantasy influence

The Cowboys have taken measures to ensure Lamb's return to the field is slow and healthy. That includes continuing to monitor his workload at practice. HC Mike McCarthy noted that he's “getting ready for Sunday,” so he hasn't seen full reps at practice yet. This news shouldn't scare away fantasy managers and the star receiver remains a must-have for Week 1 of the season.

Ja'Marr Chase is officially not allowed to train on Wednesday
Ja'Marr Chase was officially limited during practice in Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Fantasy influence

Chase returned to practice on Wednesday after spending most of the offseason waiting for a new contract, and the team had him listed as a limited participant. It's unclear if they're working to get him back fit or if he voluntarily sat out some practices, but that's a situation to keep an eye on over the next few days. Still, it's a positive sign to see the star wide receiver back at practice, even if it's on a limited basis for now.
