Michigan falls, Nebraska rises in college football rankings

After an eventful weekend across the country that included some notable upsets and statement games from overlooked schools, there was big movement in the Coaches Poll college football top 25 rankings ahead of the Week 3 schedule.

What does the top 25 look like as we look ahead to Week 3 games? Let's take a look at this week's latest poll, which is coaches' polling.

No. 20 Kansas. An away loss against unranked Illinois meant the Jayhawks dropped out of the rankings.

No. 21 Iowa. A one-point loss at home to Iowa State sealed the Hawkeyes’ fate.

No. 23 NC State. After a bad loss against Tennessee, the Wolf Pack has to start all over again.

Michigan (7 points less). Things don't look good for defending champion Sherrone Moore, who began her game against Texas with a 19-point loss.

Iowa State (up 11 places). A late field goal win against the Hawkeyes puts the Cyclones back in the polls.

Notre Dame (12 places down). After a home loss to a MAC school, the Irish slipped down the rankings and their hopes of making the playoffs were over.

Nebraska (15 points more). A clear victory over Colorado puts the Cornhuskers in the rankings.
