DeeJay Dallas scores a 96-yard touchdown after kickoff

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — When Cardinals returner DeeJay Dallas hit the hole on a kickoff return with 8:44 left in the fourth quarter and Arizona trailing by 11, he had only a handful of Bills to dodge in front of him. Then Dallas outran two Buffalo specialists, pulled outside at the 40-yard line when another Bill shook him off, and then there were only two Bills between him and paydirt.

Arizona cornerback Max Melton got a hand on Bills kicker Tyler Bass coming toward Dallas. Cardinals running back Emari Demercado squeezed between Dallas and Bills safety Mike Edwards, allowing Dallas to run the final 40 yards virtually unchallenged before diving into the end zone from the 2-yard line for a touchdown – the first kickoff was returned for a touchdown using the NFL's new dynamic kickoff.

Arizona running back James Conner scored a two-point conversion to cut the Cardinals' deficit to 31-28.
