Jayden Daniels' first TD comes after a short run and shortens the Bucs' lead

TAMPA — Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels helped the offense more with his legs than his arms through the first three quarters, so it was fitting that he scored his first NFL touchdown off a run.

Daniels, who ran seven times for 56 yards in the first half against Tampa Bay, scored Washington's second touchdown with a 1-yard run 1 minute, 52 seconds left in the third quarter.

On the previous play, Daniels ran a crossing route 32 yards into running back Brian Robinson Jr. Robinson reached the Bucs' 1.

Daniels then faked a handoff to Robinson, ran to the left and threw the ball through a large opening on the right side for a touchdown.

Daniels ran for 34 touchdowns in college, including 21 in his two years at LSU.
