The Rams and Lions will face each other in their NFL season opener on Sunday night in Detroit.

“[The fans] “They don't come to the sport, but they come,” Kelly said. “That's what Matthew always said: They put their heads in the sand and get to work. That's Detroit. They have that determination. I'm so excited for this game.”

Kelly will watch the game on television with her and Matthew's four daughters and will not travel to Ford Field to see him play in person.

“I'll be cheering loudly from my couch with my girls,” Kelly added before talking about her newfound Rams fandom. “I can't believe it's been four years already, it feels like yesterday. When we got here, Tyler was a baby… and she's a grown woman, or at least that's what she thinks. It's crazy.”
