Suspect charged with attempted murder after shooting in Mail | Crime & Courts

HONOLULU (Island News) – Charges have been filed against the suspect involved in a shooting in the Maili area.

On Sunday, September 8, 2024, the Honolulu Police Department announced that the suspect had been charged with attempted second-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm.

Bail is currently set at $2,000,000.


The incident occurred early in the morning of Friday, September 6, 2024, when a shooting was reported at Maili Beach Park around 1:50 a.m. Officials reported that a suspect allegedly shot a man multiple times. The man was taken by EMS in serious condition.

The suspect was arrested in Makaha on Friday the same day at around 7:30 p.m.
