Several new images of the Quest 3S have leaked ahead of its launch

More images of Quest 3S, Meta's next headset, have surfaced.

Numerous sources indicate that Meta will soon release a cheaper version of Quest 3 that will directly replace Quest 2 in its product lineup.

The official Quest Store even accidentally listed Quest 3S End of May and in June Metas CTO essentially confirmed The headset was seen in the background of a video he posted.

Quest 3S will reportedly offer the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset and color passthrough mixed reality features like Quest 3, but use the old Fresnel lenses from Quest 1 and 2 to reach a price between $300 and $400.

An official render of Quest 3S was found in the files of the PC application Meta Quest Link.

Separately, Chinese companies are already selling accessories for the Quest 3S on AliExpress, complete with seemingly real photos of the products attached to the headset.

This is far from the first time we've seen what appear to be leaked images of the Quest 3S, although the headset has yet to be announced by Meta.

The headset's design first appeared in March in a leaked presentation of a “Design System Research” study by Meta, which was dismissed by many at the time as a fake.

A Quest 3S was also apparently seen in the background of a video posted by Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth in June, and Bosworth even responded with a teasing confirmation at the time.

And at the end of July, a manufacturer of accessories for VR headsets released what appears to be the first clear image of the Quest 3S.
