Jillian Branciforte, a teacher from Greece, NY, was killed in a car accident

A Greece Central School District teacher was killed in a car crash Friday, according to a statement released by the school district Saturday.

Jillian Branciforte, an English as a Second Language teacher at Greece Olympia School, died in the crash just two days after the first day of school at Greece Olympia School.

“This loss affects not only Olympia, but the entire district, as Jillian’s impact extended to multiple schools,” said Laurel Heiden, the district’s communications director.

The district did not release any further details about the accident and asked that the school community's privacy be respected during this difficult time.
