Kyren Williams finds the end zone in the first week despite defeat – Kyren Williams News

by Leo Sells | Rams Correspondent | Monday, September 9, 9:29 a.m. EDT

Kyren Williams ran the ball 18 times for 50 yards, scored a touchdown, and caught three passes for four yards in Sunday's 20-26 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy influence:

Williams had an up-and-down game on Sunday. He was heavily involved in Los Angeles' offense and was able to score a touchdown, but he was also inefficient, managing just 2.8 yards per carry. The most notable takeaway from this game, however, is that he continues to be the Rams' clear workhorse running back, as he had 16 more carries than the next best player on the roster, while rookie Blake Corum didn't even play a single snap over the course of the evening. Fantasy managers should be optimistic about the star running back's season prospects as a workhorse RB for a good offense.
