Ryan Seacrest is about to make his official debut on “Wheel of Fortune” and his co-host Vanna White admits she was a little nervous at first.

White had worked with host Pat Sajak for over 40 years and said she had “no idea what to expect” when Seacrest took over the position.

“I mean, when I'm used to a person for that long, I get very scared, but he does a great job,” White said on this weekend's episode of “CBS Sunday Morning.”

This is likely a relief for fans, as rumors were circulating in June that White was considering quitting.Wheel of Fortune” due to awkwardness with Seacrest, despite signing a contract in the fall that will see him through the show's 2025-2026 season. However, the 67-year-old appeared to try to dispel speculation of a falling out with an Instagram post in July.

“Friends on and off camera enjoying one of our favorite dishes: chicken and dumplings!” White captioned a photo of her and her new co-host eating dinner together on Instagram.

On CBS Sunday Morning, Seacrest said he jumped at the chance to host such a popular show.

“This is such an incredible, special franchise. It's more than a TV show. It's something that means something to people, and when I found out this was an opportunity for me, I didn't think twice about it, I thought: absolutely. Let's figure it out and go for it.”

However, the 49-year-old admitted there was a learning curve and he had to put in the work to get it right.

“Wherever I worked, sometimes the producers would come and bring contestants, and we would play 'Wheel of Fortune' in hotels just to familiarize ourselves with the rules and scenarios and things that can happen, so eventually it becomes second nature,” Seacrest said.

Last year, Sajak announced his retirement after hosting the hit show for 41 seasons. Shortly after, the show announced that Seacrest would succeed the television legend.

In July, Seacrest shared a behind-the-scenes look at his first day on the set of “Wheel of Fortune” in an Instagram post.

“A quick look at my first day at @wheeloffortune and I’m still so excited!” he captioned the video.

“My heart is racing. I'm so excited,” Seacrest admitted. Later in the video, he revealed, “You know, I couldn't sleep last night, I was so excited. I slept pretty well, but I was still very excited for the alarm to go off.”

Seacrest, who also hosts “American Idol,” told “CBS Sunday Morning” he doesn't know if he's reached “Ryan Seacrest peak,” but noted that he's “completely absorbed” at the moment.

“I don't think I should take another job right now. I want this one to go so well. I want all the others to go well, but this one is new and I want people to go to this one and say, 'Oh, OK. You know what, I get it. This makes sense.'”
