Report: Kylian Mbappe rests for France game against Belgium

According to a report by Loïc Tanzi of L'Equipe, Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe will be rested for France's second and final game of the international break against Belgium.

Mbappe has not suffered any knock or injury, it is reportedly just a simple measure to protect the player, even at this stage of the season.

Mbappe played for France in their rather dismal 3-1 loss to Italy, where he played the full 90 minutes but struggled to make a significant impression.

It is good news for Real Madrid that Mbappé is taking a break, as it will significantly reduce the risk of injury or excessive fatigue for one of their key players.

Real Madrid have already seen a number of injuries or bruises among their players during the international break and will be hoping to avoid any more in the coming week. Having Mbappe on the bench is definitely a good thing for everyone involved and Didier Deschamps seems to agree.
