Childish Gambino unexpectedly postpones world tour, including Chicago show – NBC Chicago

Childish Gambino has unexpectedly postponed several dates of his current North American tour, including an upcoming performance in Chicago.

The rapper wrote on X on Tuesday that he was forced to postpone the rest of his tour “to focus on my physical health for a few weeks.”

“Hold on to your tickets. ALL tickets for upcoming North American dates will remain valid if they are rescheduled. Thank you for the privacy. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the love,” Donald Glover posted on the social media platform.

Glover's appearance was scheduled for October 3 at the United Center.

The venue's website now states: “POSTPONED: The Childish Gambino show at the United Center, originally scheduled for October 3, has been postponed. All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date.”

A new date for the show has not yet been announced.

Childish Gambino was only a few weeks into his “The New World Tour,” which began on August 11 in Oklahoma City.

The postponement follows a recent canceled performance in Connecticut, which Glover said was canceled “due to production issues.”

It is unclear whether the European leg of the tour, which is scheduled to begin on October 31, will also be affected.
