Man dies in rollover accident in Becker County

BECKER COUNTY, Minnesota. – A 74-year-old man has died after his vehicle overturned and crashed into a power pole.

According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred Monday on County Highway 56 near Little Toad Lake.

The 74-year-old from Frazee left the highway and ended up in a ditch. According to the sheriff, the vehicle overturned and hit a power pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Detroit Lakes and Frazee fire departments, Frazee Rescue, Essentia-St. Mary's EMS and Wild Rice Power Company assisted the Sheriff's Office in responding to the accident.

According to the state website MNCrash, there have been at least 271 fatal traffic accidents in Minnesota this year.
