Leaked gameplay footage from Sega's upcoming Crazy Taxi and Shinobi remakes has surfaced online. The videos, shared by a leaker named “Midori,” offer a first look at these highly anticipated titles. The Crazy Taxi footage shows several vehicles racing through a city, delivering passengers to their destinations.

Sega has described the game as an “innovative and fresh driving action game” with a “joyful sense of freedom” and a “fusion of nature and city.” The leaked video is believed to be from a 2022 version, suggesting it could be years before the game's release. The footage from the “Shinobi” remake, meanwhile, includes the game's opening cinematic and a short gameplay segment.

Early look at the remake of Crazy Taxi

The title is being developed by Lizardcube and Sega has hinted that players will “kill enemies in the silence of the moment” and “run through the world of Shinobi filled with monsters and ninja action.” The legendary sword Oborozuki will be a key weapon in the game. These leaks follow previous reports of Sega reviving several classic IPs, including “Jet Set Radio,” “Streets of Rage,” and “Golden Axe.” Rumors are also circulating about a possible new “Virtua Fighter” game. Fans have expressed their excitement over the leaked footage with comments like “Definitely gives me Shinobi III/Super Shinobi II vibes” and “That looks amazing…”

I hope SoR and Golden Axe are of the same quality!”

While the gaming community eagerly awaits more information about these remakes, Sega has yet to announce any official release dates or further details. However, the leaked footage has certainly created excitement and anticipation among fans of these popular franchises.
