Weather forecast for Northern California: Tuesday much more pleasant

After a phase with temperatures above 37 degrees, the maximum temperatures in the valley will remain above 30 degrees for a few days.

COME TO US. SO HEATHER, A LOT OF US, A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE, YOU KNOW, SO READY TO GET RID OF THE HEAT. YEAH. TAHOE WAS A GOOD PLACE IF YOU WANTED THE THREE DIGITS, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE WE WERE IN THE VALLEY TODAY. SOME PLACES ARE EVEN STILL THERE. JUST ABOUT. HIGHEST NUMBER I'VE SEEN FOR DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO TO THIS POINT. 101 DEGREES. THAT'S WHICH WE WERE ON BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. TOMORROW IS GOING TO FEEL A LOT DIFFERENT THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HIGH TEMPERATURES, ABOVE 80 DEGREES TO ABOUT 90 DEGREES. WEDNESDAY THURSDAY BELOW AVERAGE. STILL, THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE TODAY IS 91 DEGREES. SO WHAT'S GOING TO CHANGE TO GET US THERE? WELL, WE HAVE AN INCREASING MARINE LAYER OFF THE COAST, SO MORE COOL AIR FORMING IN THE BAY AREA, A BETTER BREEZE TO BRING THAT INLAND. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE HAVE A LARGE AREA OF COOLER AIR COMING IN FROM THE NORTH. THAT'S REALLY GOING TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE. AND WE CAN TRACK THAT COOL AIR HERE ON OUR MAP. AREAS OF HIGH AND LOW PRESSURE THAT YOU SEE HIGHLIGHTED. BUT IN GENERAL, THE AIR IS HOT UNDER THE HIGHS. UNDER THE LOW SEA TRAILS, LIKE THIS ONE COMING FROM THE NORTH. THE AIR IS A LITTLE COOLER THERE. SO BY TOMORROW AFTERNOON THE COOL AIR IS NOT ALL THERE YET. BUT LOOK AT THE WIND ARROWS HERE. THEY ARE POINTING ON LAND, SO THE DELTA BREEZE AND THE BREEZE ARE INCREASING. REALLY FOR EVERYONE. IT'S GOING TO BE WINDIGER BY THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING ON WEDNESDAY. STILL IT'S MORE OF A WEST BREEZE IF YOU'RE IN THE SIERRA, ESPECIALLY ON THE EAST SLOPE. YOU'LL NOTICE THESE GUSTY WINDS FROM THE AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING. THURSDAY THE COOLER AIR STARTS TO MOVE AWAY AND NOTICE THE WIND ARROW HERE. IT'S COMING MORE FROM THE NORTH. THERE'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE NORTHERN FLOW BY THE END OF THIS WEEK. WE CAN SET UP EXACTLY HOW STRONG THAT NORTHERN BREEZE CAN BE AND IT'S PART OF THE VALLEY AS WE GET A LITTLE CLOSER. BUT JUST KNOW IT'S GOING TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE STARTING TOMORROW AND WE'RE ALREADY SEEING SIGNS OF THAT COOLER AIR BUILDING UP ON THE COAST. FAIRFIELD IS SEVEN DEGREES WARMER FROM THIS TIME YESTERDAY, WHILE TEMPERATURES INLAND ARE ONLY A FEW DEGREES BELOW YESTERDAY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES. SO NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED THERE, AT LEAST YET. THE WIND IS COMING FROM THE WEST THROUGH FAIRFIELD, CURRENTLY SUSTAINING AT 15 MPH. THE VALLEY IS LIGHT AHEAD. BUT YOU'LL NOTE A NICE BREEZE IN AUBURN AND PLACERVILLE. SO IT'S GOING TO BE COOLER IN THE FOOTHILLS TONIGHT AS WELL. NOT MUCH CHANGED IN THE SIERRA YET. A FEW HIGH CLOUDS TOMORROW AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES ABOVE 25 MILES, MORNING LOWERS STARTING AT -1 MILE. WE WILL NOTICE A BREEZE AROUND TAHOE IN THE FOOTHILLS IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. Morning temperatures are a little lower compared to the last few mornings, but still above 15 degrees in some spots. Temperatures in Placerville, Angels Camp, 8686, will also be in the 35s to 35s today. The biggest drop in temperatures will be on the coast, of course. San Francisco will stay above 15 degrees tomorrow. Fairfield and Concord above 27 degrees. You'll notice a land breeze throughout Solano County all day long. And look at that. The San Joaquin Valley will start at 15 degrees. I think most places will stay above 27 degrees. WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF A PLACE LIKE TURLOCK OR MODESTO GOES BELOW 30 DEGREES FOR A SHORT TERM. AND THE SAME FOR THE 80S IN THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY VS. TRIPLE DIGITS. THAT'S GOING TO FEEL PRETTY GOOD. AND THEN WE'LL CONTINUE THAT TREND WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. BACK TO YOU. AL
