Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl fathers a baby “outside of marriage” and tries to “regain” his wife’s “trust”

He apologizes profusely.

Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl announced that he had a baby “outside” his marriage to Jordyn Blum and is working to “regain” his wife's “trust.”

“I recently became a father to a little girl who was born outside of my marriage,” he wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive father to her. I love my wife and children and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

Grohl concluded his message by saying that he and his family were “grateful for your consideration for all the children affected” as they “look forward together.”

The 55-year-old singer did not reveal any information about the mother of his newborn in his post.

Grohl and Blum, 48, tied the knot on August 2, 2003, at their home in Los Angeles.

The couple has three children together: Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint, born in 2006, 2009 and 2014.

The guitarist and the ex-model met in 2001 at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar.

In an interview with Elle in 2007, Grohl said that he stopped calling Blum after a few first dates.

“When I met my wife, we went on a few dates and I decided I wasn't ready for a serious relationship. So I just stopped calling,” he said.

Over time, however, he changed his mind.

“After three months, I had an epiphany and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, 'Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again,'” he recalls.

The former Nirvana drummer raved about how he didn't want to spend much time without his children during his tour.

“I used to tour nine months a year. Now I don't like being away from my kids for more than 12 days,” he told Time magazine in 2009.

“It's changed everything I do. When you have kids, you see life differently. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It's inevitable that that will find its way into songwriting.”

Just earlier this summer, Grohl and Blum were spotted together at Wimbledon in London.

They were all beaming as they watched the first round women’s singles match in the audience.

Grohl was also married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood from 1994 to 1997.
