Jason Momoa stops at Market Basket and brings Meili Vodka to Boston

Aquaman may call Maine home, but the man behind DC's aquatic superhero took a quick trip elsewhere in New England this week.

Actor Jason Momoa made a special appearance at The Nautilus Pier 4 in Boston on Monday night to promote his spirits brand Meili Vodka. Momoa's visit to the Seaport restaurant, which he attended accompanied by co-founder Blaine Halvorson, was one of several stops in the Boston area as part of an ongoing press tour that also included Market Basket in Danvers on Tuesday.

After the supermarket stop, Momoa will end his Bay State trip on Tuesday night with a concert at Mémoire nightclub at Encore Boston Harbor. The former Game of Thrones actor will perform with his band Öof Tatatå at the Everett venue as part of an over-21 event sponsored by Meili Vodka.

With a packed two-day schedule, the duo stopped by Italian restaurant Nebo on Monday afternoon before heading to the Stratus Rooftop Bar at the View Boston on the Prudential Center. Later that evening, the co-founders stopped by the rooftop of The Envoy.

Attendees at the Nautilus launch party were treated to a preview of the venue’s fall drinks menu, including a new cocktail, “I Want Somoa,” made with Meili Vodka, toasted sesame syrup, housemade yuzu lime lemonade and served with a garnish of Thai basil.

“A crown for a king is [expletive] “amazing,” Momoa said in a video of the performance, drink in hand. “I hope you enjoy the Meili and it adds a new twist to your cocktails, because that's what we're all about.”
