Trump references Kamala Harris' viral 2020 “I'm speaking” moment during presidential debate

Donald Trump rebuked Kamala Harris for interrupting him during the presidential election on Tuesday – using her own technique against her.

“I'm speaking now, if you don't mind,” Trump, 78, said mid-sentence as Harris, 59, spoke with her microphone muted.

“Please. Does this sound familiar?”

During an argument with then-Vice President Mike Pence in 2020, Harris claimed she was interrupted and said, “Mr. Vice President, I am speaking.”

His supporters were quick to print the catchy slogan on merchandise and angrily spread it on the Internet.

Last month, Harris used the phrase again to silence hecklers during a campaign rally in Detroit.

The Democratic presidential candidate was speaking to his supporters about the controversial conservative policy initiative “Project 2025” when a group of anti-Israel spectators were heard chanting, among other things, “We will not vote for genocide.”

Harris paused briefly and asked the group if they would rather vote for their opponent.

“You know what, if you want Donald Trump to win, say so. Otherwise, I'll do the talking,” she said to a sea of supporters who erupted in cheers.
