Chris Christie calls Trump's performance in the debate with Harris a “failure”

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie delivered scathing criticism of Donald Trump’s performance at the debate on Tuesday night.

Shortly after the end of the first meeting between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Christie told ABC, the host of the debate, that the former president was “unprepared” for the debate.

Christie, a two-term Republican governor who also sought the presidential nomination, has been an outspoken critic of Trump in recent years.

Christie had reportedly given Harris debate advice and said earlier this year that he would not vote for the one-term president this time around.

In his remarks on ABC, Christie said, “Whoever did debate prep for Donald Trump should be fired,” and called Trump's embarrassing comments about people eating pets and the size of crowds at his rallies “a huge flop.”

In his final assessment, Christie said: “Trump better get to work or he's going to lose this election.”
