Florida woman wins $1 million prize on $20 scratch-off ticket

A Polk County woman has a million reasons to smile.

The Florida Lottery announced Thursday that Mary Curatolo won the $1 million prize on the $5,000,000 Triple Match scratch-off ticket.

The Haines City resident purchased her $20 winning ticket at Publix, 617 US Highway 17-92.

Curatolo chose to receive her winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $664,198. The Publix will receive a bonus commission of $2,000 for the sale of the winning ticket.

The overall odds of winning the game are 1 in 2.85.
