Below are crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the time period Aug. 26-Sept. 8. (Some crimes that occurred on dates prior to the current time period but were not reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

August 16. Theft. A man reported the theft of aluminum downspouts from a construction site in the 200 block of West Chestnut Hill Avenue.

August 25. Motor vehicle theft. A Volvo XC40 was stolen in the 200 block of East Highland Avenue.

August 27. Shoplifting. A suspect stole cleaning supplies from a drugstore in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

August 27. Shoplifting. An offender entered a retail store in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street with a baby and stole food.

August 28. Theft. A man reported the theft of a notary stamp from his office in the Unit Block of West Evergreen Avenue.

August 28. Shoplifting. A suspect stole razors and hair dye from a drugstore in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

August 31. Vandalism/Theft. A complainant reported a break-in into his car and the theft of various items in the 1000 block of Livezey Lane.

September 4. Robbery. A suspect refused to pay the bill for a meal and punched the restaurant owner in the face in the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue.

September 4. Theft. A man stole a trash can and was caught on camera in the 8600 block of Seminole Avenue.

Mount Airy

August 8. Theft. A woman reported that a man slashed her tires and stole a license plate from her Mercedes Benz in the 6900 block of Sprague Street.

August 19. Carjacking. A man stated he was playing cards with a guy named Guy. That was all he knew about him when Guy stole his keys and his Toyota Highlander in the 400 block of East Phil Ellena Street.

August 26. Auto theft. A plaintiff reported the theft of his Honda Ridgeline in the 100 block of West Hortter Street.

August 26. Theft. A woman reported her wallet and credit cards stolen from her car in the 500 block of Pelham Road.

August 26. Auto theft. A woman reported the theft of her Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Unit Block of West Mount Pleasant Avenue.

August 26. Theft. An unknown individual stole various meats from the Holy Cross Church food bank in the 100 block of East Mount Airy Avenue.

August 27. Shoplifting. A suspect stole various items from the Family Dollar Store in the 6500 block of Greene Street.

August 27. A woman reported the theft of two Amazon packages from her residence in the 100 block of West Upsal Street.

August 28. Aggravated assault. A plaintiff alleged he was thrown from a car following an argument in the 100 block of Kitchens Lane.

August 28. Shoplifting. A suspect stole diapers from a retail store in the 6500 block of Greene Street.

August 28. Shoplifting. A suspect was arrested for stealing eyelash extensions from the Family Dollar store in the 6500 block of Greene Street.

August 31. Shoplifting. A man and a woman stole bags of laundry detergent from the Family Dollar Store in the 6500 block of Greene Street.

September 2. Shoplifting. A man stole a shopping cart full of items and fled from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Sept. 2. Shoplifting. A man stole a shopping cart full of seafood and fled from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Sept. 2. Shoplifting. Two men stole beer from a cart and fled the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

September 4. Theft. A woman reported the theft of a gun from her home after entertaining guests in the 200 block of East Hortter Street.

Sept. 4. Shoplifting. A suspect stole various items from Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

September 4. Aggravated assault. A man reported that his ex-girlfriend confronted him at his home in the 7500 block of Devon Street and sprayed him with an unknown substance.

September 5. Theft. An unknown male stole a package from a porch in the 700 block of East Sharpnack Street.
