Steph Curry admits he watches highlights of his Olympic gold medal game – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

Steph Curry's run at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris was so legendary that even the superstar of the US team can't get enough of it.

Curry hilariously admitted that he watched the tape again on Tuesday, the final three minutes of America's gold medal game victory over France, while discussing his summer experiences with CNBC's “Squak on the Street” crew.

“[The] “The gold medal game in France … the last three minutes were textbook,” Curry said. “I haven't really taken it in yet. I mean, we expected to win a gold medal. We knew it was going to be tough.”

“But as it happened… I still watch some highlights.”

Curry miraculously made four 3-pointers in a nerve-wracking 180 seconds.

One of them, of course, was Curry’s “Golden Dagger” against his NBA colleagues Nicholas Batum and Evan Fournier, which sealed the US team’s victory in the gold medal game.

Curry finished the win against France with 24 points, 8 of 12 three-point shots and five assists.

While high-intensity games are nothing new for the four-time NBA champion, Curry values his dominance on Team USA a little more than most of his accomplishments because of its uniqueness.

“You need a different kind of energy at the Olympics because when you get to the medal round, it's a no-brainer atmosphere,” Curry added. “It's a little like March Madness. … It's just a rush. A seven-game series is a long build-up. This was just one game.”

There was no tomorrow.

Curry and Team USA had to deliver because there was no Game 2 or 3 waiting for them.

And that is exactly what the “boss” did to lull the French to sleep.

No, really. In case you don't remember, Curry gave the French his signature “goodnight” cheer after the dagger landed, and the sharpshooter rubbed it in their faces by wearing a “NUIT. NUIT.” hoodie after the game.

“Nuit nuit” is the French translation for “night night”.

Curry has accomplished virtually everything there is to accomplish in basketball, but before this summer he lacked an Olympic medal and overall experience.

Not only did he lead the US national team to gold, he did so in the legendary Curry style.
