Death investigation underway after man's body pulled from New Hampshire river, state police say – Boston 25 News

MANCHESTER, NH — A death investigation is underway after rescue crews recovered a man's body from the Piscataquog River in Manchester Thursday morning, state police said.

At 7:58 a.m. Thursday, the State Police Marine Patrol responded to a report of a body floating in the Piscataquog River on Second Street in Manchester, state police said.

Manchester Fire Department crews later recovered the body of an adult man from the river, state police said.

The man's name was not released Thursday because next of kin have not yet been notified. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death, state police said.

Police and firefighters from Manchester, as well as representatives from the state medical examiner's office, arrived on the scene to assist the state police.
