1 dead in motorcycle crash near Stevens Point on Thursday morning

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) – A 47-year-old Stevens Point man is dead after a motorcycle crash late Thursday morning on Wilshire Boulevard at the corner of North Point Drive in the town of Hull near Stevens Point.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the accident occurred at 11:51 a.m. Thursday.

A 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Wilshire Boulevard when it left the roadway, entered the east ditch and crashed. The man was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.

The man's name is being withheld pending notification of family.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the accident with assistance from the Stevens Point Police Department and the Portage County Sheriff's Office.

Assisting agencies included the City of Hull Fire Department and the Portage County Coroner.
