Henderson wants to inform the community in Somerset about water leaks

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – The City of Henderson has released a FAQ document for the Town of Somerset.

FOX5 has been following developments in Somerset. Henderson urged residents of an HOA community to fix their leaky pipes or have their water shut off and be forced to leave their homes within two weeks.

Our Kim Passoth had previously reported that no one would be forced to leave their home on Tuesday as long as a plan was in place.

“The City looks forward to seeing this issue resolved as we address the underground water leaks affecting Somerset residents. This will be a coordinated construction effort and we appreciate the community's patience as we work as quickly as possible to resolve these critical issues with as little disruption as possible,” said Mayor Michelle Romero. “I thank our City departments, Councilwoman Cox and the partners who helped us with this resolution.”

Henderson says they plan to keep the community updated on the progress of the water leaks. Henderson asks residents to consult an FAQ document that contains questions and pointers for the construction period.

The project is scheduled to begin on September 16 and last approximately 45 days. Disruptions may occur.
