Phoenix Suns make Playboi Carti curious if he will release an album

PHOENIX – As the Phoenix Suns offseason comes to a close and training camp begins in less than three weeks, the Suns social media team took the time to share a humorous post about a past interaction between a well-known music personality and franchise player Devin Booker.

Musician Playboi Carti has been hinting at a new project for nearly a year, and the Suns, like several other NBA franchises, have used a story archive on Instagram to connect the two parties.

The Georgia native had already expressed his appreciation for Booker on social media in the past – and the Suns decided to return the favor here.

This is not the first time that the Suns have been active in the music world. Booker's name has already been mentioned in songs by global stars Drake and Lil Wayne, and Kevin Durant also has a close relationship with Drake and was, among other things, A&R for his last album.

The Suns' dynamic duo have previously lamented how important music is to their respective lives, with Durant even going so far as to say that music is one of the most important parts of his livelihood, aside from basketball.

The Suns are expected to begin training camp at the end of the month, with the season opener scheduled for October 6 – and the long-awaited season opener on October 23. Perhaps the new season will attract the likes of Carti or even Drake to Phoenix.
