Car crashes into the ditch of Alterra




Maricopa Police responded to a car crash in Alterra on September 12, 2024 at 11:45 p.m. [Brian Petersheim Jr.]

Shortly before midnight on Thursday evening, a woman in the Alterra district accidentally drove a truck into a ditch.

According to Phoenix Regional Dispatch, multiple police units and crews from Maricopa Fire and Medical Ladder 574 responded to the single-vehicle crash near North Roosevelt Avenue and West Juniper Avenue at approximately 11:45 p.m.

Initial investigations suggest that the woman lost control of the Chevrolet truck and crashed, police said on site InMaricopa Reporter. She was not taken to a hospital.

Roosevelt Avenue was closed while the scene was cleared. Knight Towing removed the vehicle from the ditch at approximately 12:30 a.m.
