Man arrested after attack in Irondequoit that killed family of four

Irondequoit, NY – Police announced Friday that they have arrested the man allegedly responsible for an attack that killed a family of four in Irondequoit last month.

Julio Cesar Pimentel Soriano, 34, of the Dominican Republic, was arrested Saturday in connection with the Aug. 31 murders of Fraime Ubaldo, 30, Marrangely Moreno-Santiago, 26, Evangeline Ubaldo-Moreno, 4, and Sebastian Ubaldo-Moreno, 2, at their Knapp Avenue home.

Firefighters found the victims' bodies while putting out several fires in their home that morning. Police said it quickly became clear that they had not been killed by the fire, but by something else.

According to police, the suspect is also wanted for a 2019 murder in the Dominican Republic. He is said to have entered Puerto Rico illegally and obtained a fake New York ID that allowed him to travel to the US mainland.
