Loitering investigation leads to drug charges against Seaford man

SEAFORD, Delaware – A loitering investigation early Thursday morning led to the arrest of a Seaford man on drug charges.

At approximately 5 a.m., a patrol officer made contact with a man sleeping in a vehicle on the Chandler Heights property. The officer warned the man that he was violating the no loitering law in Chandler Heights and needed to either go to a residence or leave the property.

About 40 minutes later, the officer returned and reportedly found the man still asleep in the vehicle. A subsequent sniffer dog alerted police to the presence of illegal substances, and a search of the car uncovered 46 packets of suspected heroin, 0.2 grams of crack cocaine, and more than $500 in suspected drug trafficking money.

The man, identified as 22-year-old Johnathan Dugazon, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin for the purpose of delivery, possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of two items of drug paraphernalia and loitering. He was held on $6,001 bail.
