Teen driver escapes unscathed after rollover crash in Ringgold Township

RINGGOLD TWP., Pennsylvania (EYT) – A local teenager was uninjured in a rollover crash in Ringgold Township.

According to a report released by PSP Punxsutawney on September 11, the accident occurred on September 1 at approximately 1:57 p.m. on State Route 536 in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County.

According to police 19-year-old Nathaniel G. Smithof Brockport lost control of a 2012 Jeep Patriot while negotiating a left turn heading west.

The vehicle traveled along the shoulder of the westbound lane for approximately 50 yards before traveling through small trees and brush before entering a ditch, causing it to overturn onto its driver's side.

Smith was medically examined on scene by the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department. He was wearing a seat belt and uninjured.

The vehicle was totaled and was towed from the scene by Smith Towing.
