Michigan State University police seek suspect in connection with assault on campus

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety is investigating a report of an assault on campus and needs the public’s help in locating a suspect.

According to police, the victim was attacked outside the MSU Union, west of the building, around 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 12. The incident was fourth-degree sexual abuse.

According to police, the suspect was described by the victim as a black man between the ages of 18 and 25, 5'6″ to 6'6″ tall, slim, light-skinned, with short, thick, curly hair and glasses.

The suspect was wearing a dark blue shirt, khaki shorts, black and white Nike tennis shoes and was carrying a backpack.
