Waco woman allegedly tried to run over her victim to deescalate an argument

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Kasey Williams, 22, is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after hitting a woman with her car, an arrest warrant says.

On August 24, police officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Washington Avenue and spoke with the victim.

The woman said she was trying to deescalate an argument between Williams and a man when Williams got into her 2024 Ford Fusion and tried to back into her, the warrant says.

The victim told police that she managed to swerve and that, although she was only “hit by the car,” she fell to the ground.

“Kasey started trying [the victim] “Several times with her vehicle,” the police wrote in the arrest warrant.

The victim was able to avoid being hit by jumping onto the concrete base of a light pole that was higher than the front bumper of Williams' Fusion.

While this prevented the victim from being hit, Williams crashed into the concrete base of the light pole, causing severe damage to the Fusion, police said.

This made Williams angry and he began threatening the victim with “serious bodily harm,” police wrote in the arrest warrant.

Witnesses at the scene identified Williams as the attacker and provided police officers with photographs.

Williams was arrested on September 12 and is currently being held on $10,000 bail.
