Ottumwa's Bridge View Center hosts Chevy Chase Q&A after National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation screening

Fans of “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation” should pack the Family Truckster and head to Ottumwa in December. The Bridge View Center will host a 35th anniversary screening of the holiday classic on Sunday, Dec. 15, followed by a live conversation and Q&A with Chevy Chase – Clark W. Griswold himself – and his wife, Jayni. “Chevy and Jayni will share their stories and personal anecdotes about the making of this beloved film that has become a holiday tradition,” said a Bridge Center press release. “We will also take questions from the audience and give you the opportunity to have your questions answered and hear firsthand from Chevy about his illustrious career, including SNL, Caddyshack and much more.” Tickets range from $29 to $250 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at bridgeviewcenter.com. Doors to the Bridge View Center will open at 4 p.m. on Dec. 15 and the event will begin at 5 p.m. “Christmas Vacation” was released in 1989 and grossed nearly $75 million. It is ranked among the best Christmas movies by Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Entertainment Weekly and more. Fans of “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation” should definitely pack the family truck and head to Ottumwa in December.

The Bridge View Center is hosting a 35th Anniversary screening of the Christmas classic on Sunday, December 15th, followed by a live conversation and question and answer session with Chevy Chase – Clark W. Griswold himself – and his wife Jayni.

“Chevy and Jayni will share their behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes about the filming of this beloved movie that has become a Christmas tradition,” says a press release from The Bridge Center. “We will also take questions from the audience, so you'll have the opportunity to have your questions answered and hear firsthand from Chevy about his illustrious career, including SNL, Caddyshack and much more.”

Tickets range in price from $29 to $250 and will be available at 10 a.m. September 13 at bridgeviewcenter.com.

The doors of the Bridge View Center open at 4 p.m. on December 15th and the event begins at 5 p.m.

“Christmas Vacation” was released in 1989 and grossed nearly $75 million in theaters. Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, Entertainment Weekly and others list it as one of the best Christmas movies.

Chase will also be in Davenport on December 17 to attend a screening of Christmas Vacation.
