North Texas Food Bank appoints Chief Impact Officer to help nonprofit fight hunger » Dallas Innovates

Anne Readhimer has been promoted to Chief Impact Officer for the North Texas Food Bank. In this role, she will help the food bank continue its fight against hunger and promote equitable access to food and sustainable food security solutions.

“Since joining NTFB in 2019, Anne Readhimer has been an invaluable asset to the North Texas Food Bank,” said Trisha Cunningham, president and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank, in a statement. “Her extensive expertise and tireless dedication have significantly advanced our mission to alleviate hunger in our region. We are thrilled to have her in this new role, where her strategic vision and passion for impactful solutions will continue to drive positive change for our organization, our food network and our neighbors.”

In her new role, Readhimer will oversee several key areas, including the SNAP and social services support team, NTFB programs such as the Food 4 Kids backpack initiative, the Senior Meal program, nutrition and gardening education and the community partner relations team, the food bank said.

The nonprofit said Readhimer's leadership will play a key role in expanding agency networks and mobile distributions to increase food distribution by community partners in high-need areas and reach more communities in need. Readhimer will also lead the organization's Hope for Tomorrow strategy, which focuses on growing partnerships with community organizations that help address underlying barriers to food security.

“Anne has consistently delivered remarkable results and provided an impressive amount of meals – nearly 300 million in the last three years alone,” said Erica Yaeger, chief external affairs officer for the North Texas Food Bank, in a statement. “Her innovative contributions, such as our community-based approach, container pantries, fruit and vegetable bins, SNAP Mobile, Hunger Action Map and the Network Grant Program, have significantly strengthened our network and improved our ability to fight hunger. Anne combines empathy with strategic thinking, prioritizing our neighbors and using data-driven decisions to optimize resources and impact.”

Before joining NTFB, Readhimer was senior director of fresh food innovation at 7-Eleven Inc., where she led a comprehensive food service team focused on new product development and operational improvements. Her previous roles also included supporting global food innovation and menu development for Yum! Restaurants International, according to the food bank.
