YMCA counselor arrested, accused of abusing children at Redmond summer camp – KIRO 7 News Seattle

REDMOND, Wash. – Detectives with the Redmond Police Department say they arrested a camp counselor this week on suspicion of sexually assaulting two children during a YMCA summer camp.

According to investigators, the attacks occurred between July 8 and August 23 in Redmond schools.

Leonardo Louie, 18, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of first-degree child abuse.

Investigators recommend that if no other victims have come forward, call Redmond Police at (425) 556-2500.

“We encourage parents to talk to their children about inappropriate adult behavior and remind them to immediately tell a trusted adult if they encounter unwanted contact,” Police Chief Darrell Lowe said in a press release.
