Prison Break continues to dominate the streaming charts

Prison break The series maintained a consistent audience for the second week in a row, adding an additional 1.6 billion minutes of viewers from August 12 to 18, putting the series at number one on the Nielsen streaming charts, thanks in part to its return to Netflix in July.

According to Nielsen, Hispanic viewers made up nearly a third of Prison break's audience during this hiatus, as the company says the demo is a “key driver” of the show's viewership.

The overall slate featured a refreshing amount of original content being streamed. This is in part because, as Nielsen notes, the end of the Olympics brought with it a lull in sports that generally accompanies a streaming boom.

Both had new episodes available this week, with American Murder It sheds new light on the already much-discussed case of the murder of Laci Peterson and the conviction of her husband Scott.
