Teenager arrested, stolen vehicles damaged after chase in Clearcreek Twp.

When police responded, they received a report at 2 p.m. that two people matching this description had stolen a vehicle on nearby Diamond Drive.

According to police, both were underage boys.

Shortly thereafter, the vehicle stolen from Diamond Drive, as well as the vehicle the suspects had already been driving, were spotted on State Route 48. A chase began near Route 48 and East Lytle Five Points Road.

According to police, the pursuit continued northwest to the Interstate 75 northbound ramp at Austin Boulevard, with the suspects colliding once as they fled from police.

One of the fleeing vehicles came off the ramp and came to a stop in the grass between the ramp and the highway. The boy in the vehicle was uninjured and was arrested at the scene of the accident.

The second vehicle fled north on I-75 and was eventually found unoccupied in Dayton, police said. The second boy involved is still under investigation.

Clearcreek Twp. police said both vehicles were heavily damaged and both were reported stolen. One of the vehicles was stolen on Diamond Drive, while the other was reported stolen in Richmond, Indiana.

Springboro Police assisted Clearcreek Twp. Police in the pursuit, and the crash is currently under investigation by the Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
