Saquon Barkley and George Pickens led the list of players whose overall rating increased on Thursday Madden25 Ratings update from EA Sports.

Barkley improved from 92 to 93 after a phenomenal debut for the Philadelphia Eagles. He ran for 109 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Pickens' overall rating rose from 83 to 85 after helping the Pittsburgh Steelers to an impressive 18-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He recorded six catches for 85 yards.

Los Angeles Chargers running back JK Dobbins also saw his rating increase, from 78 to 79, after rushing for 135 yards on just 10 attempts in Week 1.

Barkley has the fourth-highest rating in the game among running backs as of the latest update, trailing only Christian McCaffrey, Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry.

The 27-year-old signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract and joined the Eagles as a free agent after spending the first six seasons of his career with the New York Giants. Barkley also served as a weapon in the passing game against Green Bay, catching two passes for 23 yards.

He was a key contributor to the Eagles' offense, but it struggled when he didn't have the ball in his hands. Jalen Hurts, one of the NFL's best dual-threat quarterbacks, managed just 33 yards on 13 attempts in Week 1.

Even though the Steelers offense failed to score a single touchdown in the season opener, Pickens still stood out against a Falcons secondary that allowed the eighth-fewest passing yards in the league in 2023.

In addition to the 23-year-old's overall score, his agility score was also increased from 90 to 92.

Dobbins made his first regular-season start since a torn Achilles ended his 2023 season in Week 1. The former second-round pick showed no signs of rust and helped the Chargers to a 22-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The highlight of his performance on the return was a 55-yard run in the fourth quarter that helped decide the game.

Dobbins will look to keep that momentum going in the upcoming game against the Carolina Panthers, who allowed 180 rush yards in Week 1.
