Cam Rising Injury Update: Utah QB status revealed against Utah State

After a week of uncertainty about the status of the quarterback Cam rises The Utah Utes now know that he will not start for the Utah Utes game against rival Utah State AggiesInstead, according to Pete Thamel, it will be Isaac Wilson, the younger brother of NFL quarterback Zach Wilson. According to Thamel, Rising will be dressed and warmed up for the game.

While standing on the sidelines after Utah's win, Cam Rising was seen with a bandage on both of his middle fingers. In his post-game press conference, head coach Kyle Whittingham said: “We don’t think it’s serious.”

Before leaving the Baylor game due to injury, Cam Rising played well, throwing for 92 yards and two touchdowns. He was replaced by a true freshman. Isaac Wilson as quarterback. Injuries have become a problem for Cam Rising in his career. He suffered a serious knee injury in the Rose Bowl after the 2022 season against Penn StateThat prevented him from playing at all in 2023, so he took the year off for medical reasons instead. However, Utah fans kept hoping throughout the season that he would return.

Utah has had a lot of success during Cam Rising's time in the program, including two seasons in which the Utes made it to the Rose Bowl. Now in their first season in the Big 12, Utah expects to contend near the top of the conference, but they need a healthy Rising to do so.

Over the course of his career, Cam Rising has completed 64 percent of his passes for 5,918 yards and 53 touchdowns with 14 interceptions. He averages 12.5 yards per pass. In addition, he has rushed for 999 yards and scored 12 touchdowns on the ground in his career.
