Flagstaff police search for Justin Hill, who made mass murder threat

Flagstaff police were searching for an Ash Fork man accused of threatening a mass shooting on Friday.

On Saturday, Flagstaff police announced an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Justin Wayne Hill, who was identified as the suspect behind numerous mass shooting threats outside various schools, businesses and government offices in the Flagstaff area.

Hill is said to have spread his messages online and on the social platform Yelp and to have contained “threats related to mass shootings,” said Flagstaff Police Sergeant Jerry Rintala.

According to Rintala, police were searching intensively for Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Hill was described, according to Rintala, as a white man, approximately 6 feet tall, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

According to Rintala, Hill was probably driving a blue 2009 Subaru Impreza with Arizona license plate CKA72E.

“We urge the public to remain vigilant… If you see Mr. Hill or the vehicle described, please contact Flagstaff Police immediately,” Rintala said.

Anyone with information about Hill is asked to contact the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-774-1414 or Silent Witness at 928-774-6111.

The Flagstaff Police Department worked with the Coconino County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's Office on the investigation.
