A man was arrested after authorities received a FLOCK alert on Friday.

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A man was arrested after authorities received a FLOCK alert on Friday.

Officials with the Walton County Sheriff's Office said the red alert was on 331 South, just south of the city limits.

The DeFuniak Spring Police Department's City Marshal's Office said they received the FLOCK of a stolen red 2024 Ford Bronco.

Officers said that after finding the vehicle, they conducted a traffic stop at a nearby hotel.

The driver, Will Russel May, 43, of Gulf Port, Mississippi, allegedly claimed that the Bronco's owner gave him permission to use it and also allowed him to use his credit card to book a room at the hotel where May was staying.

The owner of the vehicle confirmed that it was indeed stolen.

May was arrested and taken to the Walton County Jail.

He was given bail of $5,000.
