A man has been charged with the murder of a woman and two teenagers after they were found dead in a flat in Luton.

Bedfordshire Police confirmed that 18-year-old Nicholas Prosper has been charged in connection with the deaths at a property in Leabank, near Wauluds Bank Drive, which occurred at around 5.30am on Friday.

Although formal identification is still pending, police believe the three dead are Juliana Prosper (48), Kyle Prosper (16) and Giselle Prosper (13), all from Leabank.

Prosper, also from Leabank, was charged with several weapons offenses.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Crime Unit, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the three people who sadly lost their lives yesterday and their families.

“Although formal identification has not yet been made, the next of kin of those we believe to have died have been informed and are being assisted by specialist officers. We ask that their privacy is respected at this unimaginably difficult time.

“After the discovery of the three bodies yesterday, we immediately dispatched several officers to the scene. Shortly thereafter, they arrested an 18-year-old man who has now been charged with triple murder and several weapons offenses.”

Prosper is due to appear at Luton Magistrates Court on Monday.
