Fugitive wanted for child sex crimes in New Hampshire arrested in Missouri

PLATTSBURG, Missouri (KCTV) – A New Hampshire man wanted for sex crimes against children is now being sent back to face trial there after being arrested almost across the country.

Clinton County, Missouri District Court records show that 49-year-old Jeremy Archambault, a fugitive from New Hampshire, was arrested near Plattsburg, Missouri, around noon on Friday, September 6.

Court documents noted that Archambault, of Carroll County, NH, was wanted for child sex offenses. He was charged with:

  • Severe Sexual Assault: Patterns of Sexual Assault
  • Serious sexual assault: Victim under 13 years of age
  • Serious sexual assault: child under 13 years of age

An extradition hearing was held on Wednesday, during which Judge Teresa L. Christian-Bingham signed a waiver of extradition to send him back to New Hampshire to face trial for the crimes he is accused of.

As of Saturday, Archambault remains behind bars in Clinton County, Missouri, without bail. No further information has been released.
