Driver killed in two-car crash in New Hampshire – NBC Boston

A driver was killed Sunday morning after a two-car crash in Hudson, New Hampshire.

When emergency crews arrived at the intersection of Central Street and Park Avenue around 8:30 a.m., they found an SUV and a pickup truck in an embankment.

Rescue workers freed one of the drivers from the wreckage. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, the other driver was not injured in the accident.

According to police, initial investigations indicate that the uninjured driver ran a red light on Central Street heading east, causing the accident. Drugs or alcohol are unlikely to have played a role in the incident, police say.

According to the police, there were no other people in the vehicles apart from the drivers at the time of the accident.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Hudson Police.
