Tributes have been paid to a mother and her two children who were killed in a suspected triple murder in a Luton tower block.

A friend said 48-year-old Juliana Prosper “lived for her children” and was “a positive person who we will miss terribly.”

Thirteen-year-old Giselle Prosper was described as a “beautiful soul” and “model student” in a laudation at her school.

The teenager was found dead on Friday in the apartment in Leabank, near Wauluds Bank Drive in the city, next to her mother Juliana and 16-year-old Kyle Prosper.

Nicholas Prosper, 18, of Leabank, Luton, has been charged with triple murder and is due to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He was also accused of “several violations of the weapons law,” police said.

Jess Pather, headteacher of Lea Manor High School, said on X: “We at Lea Manor High School are deeply shocked by the tragic incident that occurred in our community on Friday and devastated by the loss of our student Giselle Prosper.

“Giselle was a beautiful soul and a model student. She excelled in all subjects and will be sorely missed, especially by her friends in Year 9.

Ms Pather added that specialist bereavement counsellors would be available at the school to provide additional support to staff and pupils.

“We will all need time to process what has happened and our condolences go out to everyone in our community and neighboring schools who have been affected,” she added.

Kyle Prosper's school called the incident “devastating” and expressed its “deepest condolences” to his family.

A statement from Cardinal Newman Catholic School said: “We are shocked by the tragic incident that occurred in our community on Friday and deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own students, Kyle Prosper.”

“This is devastating news for everyone who knew and loved Kyle, and it will take some time to come to terms with the profound loss.”

The school added: “We know this will be a difficult time for students and staff and we will do everything we can to support them with love and compassion.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Kyle's family for their immeasurable loss, to his friends, and to all at neighboring schools who are dealing with their own loss. We pray for all who died in this tragic incident.”
