FBI investigates Trump assassination attempt on golf course in Florida

The FBI said on Sunday that it was investigating “an apparent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.”

“The Secret Service, in collaboration with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, is investigating a security incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m.,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement.

In a campaign email Trump sent after a security incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, he said he was “safe and well,” citing reasons he was “fine.”
