2024 Los Angeles Dodgers Softball Camp at Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers will host an adult softball camp at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, September 29, offering fans the opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Participants can realize their dream of playing on a big league field by learning and playing alongside current Dodger commentator and Olympic gold medalist Jessica Mendoza and fellow gold medalist Natasha Watley. Fans can reserve their spot at the camp at Dodgers.com/softball.

“We are thrilled to open the first adult softball camp at Dodger Stadium,” said Chris Koenig, executive director of Dodgers 365, in a statement. “We are even more excited to partner with softball legends Jessica Mendoza and Natasha Watley, who will provide campers with unique insights into the game to learn and play with.”

Participants will receive a personalized experience, their own custom jersey and locker in the Dodgers clubhouse, and access to Dodgers facilities including the training room, batting cages and field.

After warming up and stretching, the camp will conclude with a fastpitch softball game on the Dodger Stadium field, pitting teams coached by Mendoza and Watley against each other.

During lunch, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session with Mendoza and Watley.

Mendoza, a former local star from Camarillo, was an outfielder at Stanford University and played for the U.S. national team from 2003 to 2008. He won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Athens (2004) and the silver medal in Beijing (2008).

She has since turned her love of the game into a career as a commentator, calling games on ESPN for Sunday Night Baseball, the Women's College World Series and the Little League World Series. In 2015, Mendoza became the first woman to serve as an analyst for a nationally televised MLB game on ESPN.

Watley, who played on both Olympic teams with Mendoza, will also serve as coach. As a shortstop at UCLA, she led her team to victory in the 2003 NCAA national championship.

Watley played professionally for eight years in the National Pro Fastpitch League and also played overseas for Team Toyota in Japan. In 2009, she founded the Natasha Watley Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing softball to inner cities.

The former teammates were both inducted into their respective universities' Hall of Fame and were each four-time All-Americans in college.
